Celebrate one of The Great Allentown Fair’s cherished traditions—the crowning of the 2026 Fair Queen! This event honors young women who embody community spirit, leadership, and our agricultural heritage. Finalists will take the stage to deliver speeches and share their stories, all hoping to earn the title of Fair Queen. The winner will represent the Fair throughout the year and may go on to compete in the statewide Pennsylvania Fair Queen competition. Join us on opening day for an inspiring evening of local pride and cheer on your favorite contestant!

Butterfly Kingdom: Learning Adventure

Explore the Fascinating World of Butterflies!
Step into a vibrant, fluttering paradise where nature’s most delicate wonders take center stage. Frolic and enjoy the company of 200-300 beautiful butterflies, representing a kaleidoscope of colors and species. This immersive, daylong exhibit invites you to wander as butterflies dance around you. Engage in hands-on learning as you discover the incredible life cycle of butterflies—from egg to caterpillar, chrysalis to graceful adult. Educational displays, guided talks, and interactive stations make this a perfect experience for curious minds of all ages.

Back by popular demand, the Scrapple Eating Contest returns for its second year at the Great Allentown Fair! Sponsored by Stoltzfus Meats, this crowd-favorite event challenges contestants to devour as much scrapple as they can in just two minutes. Think you’ve got what it takes? Click here to sign up. Not up for the challenge? No problem. Come cheer on the competitors and enjoy the messy, mouthwatering fun from the sidelines. It’s a spectacle you won’t want to miss!

Get ready to let those locks loose! 95.1 WZZO’s First Annual Mullet Contest is making its glorious debut at the 2025 Great Allentown Fair and it’s time to celebrate the most iconic hairstyle in history. “Business in the front, party in the back!” Hosted by Joel and Keith of 95.1 WZZO, this hair-raising competition invites mullet enthusiasts of all ages to flaunt their fabulous follicles in a head-turning showdown of style, swagger, and supreme strands, to see who wins the coveted “BEST IN GROW” Award.

This year’s Grape Stomp Contest is Media vs. Military, bringing together local media personalities and members of the military community for a fun, messy, and high-energy showdown. Participants will compete to see who can extract the most juice from a barrel of grapes using only their feet, all while bringing plenty of laughs, friendly rivalry, and crowd-pleasing competition. With bragging rights ono the line, this year’s contest is expected to be more exciting than ever. FARM TO TABLE COOKING SERIES

Discover the rich culinary traditions of the Lehigh Valley at the 2025 Farm to Table Cooking Series and Iron Chef Competition. This deliciously popular series features live cooking demonstrations by local chefs from top restaurants and culinary experts, showcasing seasonal ingredients sourced from area farms. Fairgoers can enjoy interactive sessions that includes tastings, expert tips, and even beer pairing demonstrations with regional breweries. One of the main attractions is the Annual Iron Chef Competition, where chefs face off in high-energy cook-offs using mystery ingredients to impress a panel of judges and the crowd. Programming offers something for every foodie—from casual fans to aspiring chefs.

PRINCESS PARADE

The Princess Parade at The Great Allentown Fair is a beloved tradition where little girls dress as their favorite princesses and parade through the fairgrounds, creating a magical experience for families and fairgoers.

A new Fair Queen will be crowned on opening night and will take part in the parade, greeting the young participants and adding a royal touch to the celebration—just as last year’s queen, Olivia Wisser, did.

This heartwarming event is a highlight for families and reflects the fair’s commitment to youth, imagination, and community fun. Participants can register on site the day of the event.

She’s simply MOO-velous! Our Fair’s Favorite Strolling Star! Keep your eyes peeled during Fair Week—you never know where this bovine femme fatale might pop up! As our beloved fair mascot, Moodonna brings smiles, laughs, and plenty of photo ops wherever she goes. From the midway to the livestock barns, and all the special events in between, she’s always on the move, spreading cheer and making memories with fairgoers of all ages. Whether she’s dancing with the kids, posing for selfies, or joining in the fun at our features venues, Moodonna is a must-see part of the fair experience! Be sure to say hi, snap a pic, and give her a wave when you spot her!
