We’re proud to announce the Hometown Hero Spotlight, a special recognition for one outstanding individual who has served (or is currently serving) in the U.S. Armed Forces and continues to make a difference here at home.
Nominations open May 20, 2025!
Who Can Be Nominated?
Nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a current or former member of the U.S. Military
- Must be living
- Must have a connection to the Lehigh Valley area
- Must be able to attend The Great Allentown Fair on Wednesday, August 28, 2025
We’re looking for individuals whose military service and/or community contributions have had a meaningful impact, especially those whose stories may not have been widely recognized.
How to Nominate:

- Deadline to Submit: August 1, 2025
All nominations will be reviewed by a panel of judges from The Great Allentown Fair and Kitchen Magic. The selected hero will be chosen based on:
- The impact of their military service
- Their commitment to community
- Acts of heroism or sacrifice
Recognition Event:
The chosen Hometown Hero will be honored during Kitchen Magic’s Red, White & THANK YOU Military Day at The Great Allentown Fair on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 1PM.
